The misconception of Conservatives? The young and uninformed think being
a conservative is being an extreme, radical and even a racist person.
The exact opposite is true. We believe in people, we believe in love and
we believe in God.
We are driven to help people and offer them the truth. The truth is that people must learn to help themselves as a first step. A first step only in this life - toward a next step- which is even greater. That is compassion! And the reason why this is compassion? Citizenship, morality and life is more than just about yourself- it is so that our countries resources can be used to help those who cannot help themselves.
If you are blessed- would you take from a small child, an elderly woman or someone who is mentally or physically challenged?
However- this is what liberalism is... our resources as a country are limited - but liberals offer these resources freely to those who can help themselves with disregard to those who are unable to help themselves. And for what reason? For their votes....
Liberals want universal health care- health care for everyone. Well- the home of a co-worker of mine was robbed recently. Do you know what universal health care means? Not only did they steal from him- but he will pay for their health care too. Conservatives believe in paying for the health care of children, the elderly and for those who are physically or mentally challenged. However- if you are a member of a gang, committing crimes, a theif addicted to drugs, to lazy to work- we are not going to pay for your health care.
Conservatives believe in helping the young, the old and those that cannot help or protect themselves. Conservatives even believe in government lifting up those that can help themselves - but with time limits in order that they do not become dependant upon government. The reason so they can experience freedom, opportunity, wealth and so that they too can lift up others.... also so our countries limited resources can be directed to those truly in need.
However- what Conservatives really believe is to protect the very weakest and most vulnerable in society and that is the life of an unborn child. We hear the cry of unborn life...
