The reason that Republicans will lose big in the next Congressional election is that John McCain does not excite conservatives. As a result many conservatives will end staying home for the election. McCain will probably win the presidential election- because he will get enough independent swing voters to beat the Democrats. However- these voters will not be voting for Republicans in the House and Senate elections. As a result - Republicans will suffer severe losses in those elections. There is only one way for McCain to save Republicans . It is to select a vice president that will make conservative go out and vote for him. If they go out and vote- it transaltes to otes for Republicans in the Congressional races. On the political horizon- there is only one person that I see that can accomplish this. It is for John McCain to have Conoleezza Rice as the Vice President. Condoleezza Rice as a vice president will motivate conservatives and Republicans to vote. The reason is simple- it will allow the Republican Party to claim the first black vice president- but also the first woman vice president.
