Why Bad Things Happen to Good People
Why Bad Things Happen to Good People- An Answer What is the worst thing in life that you could imagine? Probably the worst thing - would be for you to lose your child. The pain and the grief of watching an innocent child in pain, spending time in a hospital (when they should be playing as children do) and then to die cannot be imagined. It is enough to show animosity towards God, to hate life and destroy your faith. What I described above is the experience of former President George Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush in the early years of their marriage. The former president had a daughter named Robin. Robin died of Leukemia when she was just three years old. The former president and Mrs. Bush took their daughter Robin to the hospital, watched her endure bone marrow transplants, blood transfusions and subsequently go into a coma and then die. Many years later former President Bush said that his daughter Robin- in her short life - taught him more about life than any of his other children (this includes one child that became the governor of Florida and another who became the current president of the United States). The former president said that Robin - who only lived for three years taught him to love his children every single day. "Infantile people complain and say that God is cruel or that there is no God. Mature people, however, know that there is wisdom and sometimes an eternal kindness in God's refusals." Norman Vincent Peale Written by Thomas
